Zine

My Zine reminds me of an information booklet. Like one of those little informational children's books. Besides different textures, I used color quite a bit in my project. My zine has mainly cool colors, giving it a very calming sense about it. To achieve the different textures, I cut out different pages from magazines. I also drew some textures and pasted them into my Zine. To color them, I used my special colored pencils to get the correct color saturation I wanted. The overall arching theme was Pokemon. I wanted to use my zine to give light to some underappreciated ones with interesting features about them that everyone might not know. My goal was to use my art to inform people while making intricate backgrounds that complemented the cartoon style of my drawn Pokemon. While I did achieve my artistic goal, I feel like I didn't add room for words to fit into the art. My words are just pasted in there randomly. Overall, I am happy with what I was able to make, but I still feel like I have room to improve my skills with adding words to my art.
