Etching

The element of design most used in my etching is line. I used line in the tops of the bars to make them darker than the side. Cross hatching is the technique I used to do that. Also, for the spaces between the blocks, I scratched all the space out so it would appear the darkest. I chose gold bars for my etching project because I wanted to do something easy and clean but I don't think it turned out as nice as I was hopping it would. My goal for this class was to not be as uptight about my work and I feel like this project furthered my goal because it got me out of my comfort zone and made me work on an entirely new platform.
