My Self-Portrait 

The name of my self-portrait is "I don't know about that". I chose this name because when I first got my glasses, my best friend told me that I instantly gained five points in my intelligence category. My first draft of my portrait was drawn on paper. I made quite a few mistakes that needed fixing, but I eventually got it transferred over to the rubber eraser portion. By using small scoop like tools, I dug out portions of the eraser to create a platform lower than the rest. The stark contrasts in the backgrounds emulate the shadows in my house. My walls can either be bright or dark. There's not a lot of in between colors which worked well for my project. My only goal for this project was to create a self-portrait that looked similar to me, and I'm not sure if I reached that goal. My picture is more cartoonish than I was hoping it would be, so I think I did not meet my goal. Overall, while I didn't meet my goal, I am still very pleased with how my project turned out because I am not the best at drawing people. So, considering what my skills are, I am happy this is how my work turned out.
